Terms of Use

Effective: September 14, 2026

These terms cover your use of FitInspector, a free bike-fit and tire-pressure calculator. By using the app, you're agreeing to them. They're written to be read, not just filed — if anything is unclear, contact us (below).

What FitInspector is

FitInspector calculates a starting bike-fit recommendation (saddle height, riding position, handlebar width) and tire pressure suggestions from measurements you provide, using published bike-fit formulas and general industry heuristics. It also offers optional in-browser photo/video tools to estimate those measurements or check your current riding position. See our Privacy Policy for how that data is handled.

Not professional advice

FitInspector gives you a starting point, not a professional bike fit. It doesn't replace an in-person fitting by a qualified fitter, and it can't account for injuries, flexibility limitations, or anything else a real fitter would ask about in person. Always sanity-check any recommendation on the actual bike before riding it, and consult a professional for anything beyond a rough starting adjustment.

No warranty

The app is provided as is, with no guarantee that its calculations, formulas, or pose-detection results are accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose. Some numbers (like the personalized riding-position band) are our own engineering judgment rather than a peer-reviewed standard — the in-app FAQ says exactly which is which.

Your responsibilities
  • Only upload photos or video you have the right to use — that's your device and your content, and we never see the raw file anyway (see Privacy Policy)
  • Don't try to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the service
  • Don't use the app in a way that violates any applicable law
  • Double-check any measurement or fit recommendation against reality before acting on it, especially before making a physical adjustment to a bike
Third-party links and services

The app links to a couple of external services we don't control: a Buy Me a Coffee donation page, and (only if you accept analytics) PostHog. Once you follow an external link or interact with a third-party embed, that service's own terms and privacy practices apply, not ours.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, FitInspector and the person who built it aren't liable for any injury, damage, cost, or loss arising from your use of the app or reliance on its recommendations. You use the calculated numbers, and any physical adjustments you make because of them, at your own risk.

Intellectual property

The FitInspector name, design, and code are the operator's work unless stated otherwise. You're welcome to use the calculator for your own personal bike-fitting purposes; you don't get a license to copy or resell the app itself.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the app changes. Continuing to use FitInspector after an update means you accept the current version — the effective date above always reflects the latest one.

Governing law

FitInspector is a small, independently-run project without a registered business entity or a specifically asserted jurisdiction. If a dispute ever comes up, please contact us first (below) — we'd rather sort it out directly than through anything formal.
