Who makes FitInspector
We’re two developers and cycling enthusiasts who created FitInspector to make bike-fit knowledge accessible to everyone, from beginners to experienced riders.
Our goal isn’t to replace professional bike fitting, but to help more people understand what bike fit is, why proper positioning matters, and how it can improve comfort and confidence on the bike.

What it does
- The bike fit calculator gives a starting saddle height, handlebar width and frame size from your measurements.
- The position check estimates your knee and torso angles from a photo or video.
- The tire pressure calculator and the size guide cover pressure and frame size.
- The bike fit guides explain the reasoning behind each number.
How we approach accuracy
- Formulas come from published bike-fit sources. Each one, with its source, is listed on the methodology page.
- Where a number is our own engineering judgment, such as the safety margin for kids’ bikes, we label it as such.
- The guides mark which advice is an established principle, which depends on you and your bike, and what to keep in mind.
- The position check estimates angles from a 2D photo or video, so a reading can be off by a few degrees.
- The results are a starting point, not a medical diagnosis or a replacement for a professional bike fit.
