Tips for a good photo
Rider position
- • Seated on the bike, not standing beside it
- • Feet on the pedals
- • Hands on the handlebars
- • Natural riding posture, not posed stiffly
- • Side view (perpendicular to the bike)
- • Show the whole bike in frame — a trainer-mounted setup is fine too, just make sure the ground-contact point(s) are visible
- • Position your near-side pedal at the bottom of its stroke before shooting
Camera position
- • Perpendicular to the bicycle
- • Avoid wide-angle lenses
- • Keep enough distance (2-3 steps back)
- • Hold the camera as level as you can
Live camera has visual hints to help you get the position just right!
You can upload a seated photo, up to 20 photos from different points in your pedal stroke, or a 10–30 second video.
